How to fill in and sign a PDF form

  1. Open your PDF by dropping it on the box or clicking it. Any form fields are highlighted in blue.
  2. Click a field and type, tick boxes, or choose from drop-down lists. For anything else, use Add text, Add date or Add tick and click on the page.
  3. Choose Add signature, draw, type or upload your signature, and place it on the page.
  4. Press Download PDF. Check the result before you send it.

Is my PDF uploaded anywhere?

No. The form is opened and filled in your browser tab and the finished PDF is created on your own device, so nothing is uploaded.

Is it free?

Yes. There is no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on how many forms you can complete.

Does it work on forms that are not fillable?

Yes. If a PDF has no form fields, use Add text, Add date or Add tick and click anywhere on the page to type or tick over the printed form.

Is a typed or drawn signature legally binding?

That depends on the document and where you are. This tool places an image of your signature on the page and does not provide identity checks or an audit trail. For contracts that need a certified e-signature, use a dedicated e-signature service.

Can I sign on a phone or tablet?

Yes. Choose Add signature, draw with your finger or a stylus, then tap the page to place it. You can make it larger or smaller with the plus and minus buttons.

Why do some characters turn into question marks?

Text you add with Add text uses a standard font that covers Western European letters. Characters outside that set, such as Arabic or Chinese, cannot be added and are replaced with a question mark.
